Picnic in the Park at Veranda
Southern comfort is on the menu as Veranda celebrates its grand opening with a Picnic in the Park noon- 4 p.m., Sunday, May 21.
The party at 2020 Pearl Glen Drive in Richmond promises Southern food, live music by Hill Country Jane and opportunities to take pictures with a live Texas Longhorn steer. Piglet races, sack races, a watermelon-eating contest and more round out the family-friendly events. While there, pick up a free gift at each of the community’s nine newly opened model homes. Texas treats and cold beer will be available for purchase. In addition, the first 500 guests will receive a free Veranda picnic blanket.
