Citrus are a popular choice for novice and expert fruit tree growers. Good news! They thrive in H-town!!
Come see the beautiful McGovern Centennial Gardens and join the discussion and learn about citrus hands on. We will talk new trees, pruning, health, production and pests. Afterwards we will have a group discussion on best practices.
Teaching this month's class is Daniel Millikin, Horticulturist at McGovern Centennial Gardens and founder of Edible Earth Resources.
Daniel Millikin is a 9th generation Texan. He has lived in Houston since 1990 and is passionate about the food choice we make on a daily basis. He is an avid gardener and has led in multiple Houston area horticulture oportunities, in soil, plants, planning, and design.
Daniel loves engaging with the public and seeing them engage in the food growing process.
