Urban Harvest Sunday Supper at Weights + Measures
Experience one-of-a-kind dishes when Houston’s top chefs partner with local farmers to create a fresh, seasonal supper to benefit Urban Harvest, a nonprofit organization that leads Houston’s local food movement. Sunday Supper at Weights + Measures (2808 Caroline), to be held Sunday, October 30 at 6-9 p.m., will feature a group of Houston’s notable chefs who have pledged to impress guests with sophisticated combinations that speak to Urban Harvest's principles of encouraging community, good nutrition and sustainability through organic gardening.
Sunday Supper at Weights + Measures will offer a bountiful spread of dishes that spotlight seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms. In partnership with chef Richard Kaplan, contributing chefs include Graham LaBorde of Bernadine’s, Peter Garcia of El Meson, Bobby Matos of State of Grace, Soren Pedersen, and Kevin Naderi of Roost. Participating vendors include Plant It Forward Farms, Dos Brisas, Tejas Heritage Farms, Animal Farm, Tavola Pasta, and Airline Seafood.

Founded in 1994, Urban Harvest envisions a healthier city where everyone has access to locally grown, nutritious food harvested from sustainable community gardens and farms. Proceeds from the event will support Urban Harvest’s programs: Youth and Adult Education, Community Gardens and Farmers Markets.
