Indian blanket (Gaillardia pulchella) - summer nectar and pollen

Texas lantana (Lantana urticoides) - spring through early winter nectar and pollen

Blue mistflower (Conoclinium coelestinum) - fall and early winter nectar and pollen

Scarlet sage (Salvia coccinea) - pollen and nectar; blooms all year until freeze

Texas frogfruit (Phyla nodiflora) - groundcover, easy to grow, host plant

Green milkweed (Asclepias veridis) - Monarch and Queen butterfly host for mostly dry conditions

Aquatic milkweed (Asclepias perennis) - host for Monarchs and Queen butterflies, handles moist local conditions
