Pinot in the City
Houston Hosts Pinot in the City This February
Willamette Valley Sends 60 of its Lauded Wineries for Lone Star State Tasting
Pinot in the City, the famed wine-centric road show sponsored by the Willamette Valley Wineries Association (WVWA), continues on its momentous course. Oregon winemakers have their sights set on Houston, February 4, 2020, in the wake of successful events all over the country. Minute Maid Park is set to host the next installment of this ongoing series showcasing award-winning Willamette Valley wines and their creators.
The Willamette Valley has long been admired for its Pinot noir, and as the region grows and gains recognition, newer styles continue to emerge. Pinot in the City guests can look forward to tastes of Oregon’s most famous variety, but also deft takes on Chardonnay, sparkling wine, Pinot gris, Gamay noir, Riesling, and more.
More than 60 producers are slated to be in Houston next February. The event takes place at Houston’s Minute Maid Park, home of the Astros, in the historic Union Station Lobby. Pinot in the City will continue its focus on the people behind every label, spotlighting winemakers and principle figures. Attendees can chat with vintners, get advice on recent vintages, enjoy Pinot noir–friendly bites, and discover the extensive breadth and quality inherent to the Willamette Valley wine scene.
