The Houston Italian Festival, or Festa Italiana, is an annual festival that was founded with the scope of celebrating Italian culture and heritage in the city of Houston, Texas. Presented by the Italian Cultural & Community Center (ICCC) and taking place on the grounds of the University of St. Thomas from Thursday, October 13 through Sunday, October 16, 2016, the festival is recognized as a significant cultural event in the city of Houston.

Festa Italiana is one of the largest ethnic festivals in the city – an event that attracts thousands of Houstonians! The festival’s exponential growth has been the result of dedication to the commitment Houston Italians made to themselves to maintain their cultural heritage and to their hometown to be active participants in Houston’s development as a major city.

Festa Italiana offers numerous activities to entertain the large audience it has today. From the favorite Italian bowling game of Bocce Ball; Italian performers and bands from the Houston area, Chicago and New York City; food booths from Italian restaurants in Houston, serving authentic and irresistible recipes they brought to this country or inherited from their Italian families; activities and rides for children; and traditional events such as the grape stomping contesting, the pasta eating contest, the Italian Auto Show and more!

Proceeds from the Festa Italiana support the ICCC, the Italian language school, scholarships, and many cultural events presented for the public each year.
