Discovering Wild Edible Plants Workshop at Deer Lake Lodge

Join us at Deer Lake Lodge for a class with Mark "Merriwether" Vorderbruggen, an expert in wild edible plants.

Guests will spend four hours exploring Deer Lake Lodge's property with Merriwether as their guide. The class will teach guests how to identify edible and medicinal plants in the wild. He will also show the class how to identify which part of the plant can be safely eaten raw. Along the hike, Merriwether will explain how foraging nature's wild can help heal the body, mind and soul.
