Lauren is a native Gulf Coast Texan that left home in search of adventure and a specialty cheese education. She served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the country of Georgia, where she drank a lot of orange wine and learned the art of elaborate toasts. Knowing she had to take her food education to the next level, she then moved to New York City, where she earned a Master's degree in Food Studies at New York University. After years of eating her way through the Big Apple and serving as the editor of www.cheeserank.com via Vayner Media, she decided the kolache shortage was untenable and returned to the great city of Houston.
