Mellow Out Honey Naturally Nourished Miel Recipe

Miel, or herbal honey, is a great blend of medicinal herbs and raw unfiltered honey. Mixing honey with herbs is a pleasant way to ingest the desired properties of the herbs as well as soothe a sore itchy throat, tonify the immune system and curb a sweet tooth. Mixed with hot water or tea, the honey soothes as well as protects. Store airtight for up to 6 months.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons chamomile (German) flower
  • 1 tablespoon lemon balm
  • 1 tablespoon skullcap
  • 4 ounces raw unfiltered local honey

Instructions

Break down dried herbs in coffee grinder, blender or with mortar and pestle. Mix blended dried herbs into honey and allow to sit for 24 hours. Use as a spread on cheese, in warm water to make a tea or as a teaspoon a day to boost stress support and calm mood as the herbs in this blend are nervines focused on calming nerves and reducing stress response.
