Ellie Sharp
"Originally from the east coast, Ellie Sharp moved to Houston after college and quickly embraced the Lone Star State particularly the museums, parks, social diversity, and of course food. She works as a technical writer in the oil and gas industry by day while moonlighting as a freelance food and culture writer/photographer by nights and weekends. Locally her work has appeared in Envy Magazine, My Table Magazine, SideDish (online), Bayou City Magazine, Edible Houston, and on Houston's Eater.com. She is a former writer and photographer for the James Madison University student newspaper The Breeze, and editorial assistant/writer for the internationally circulated Journal of Mine Action. She continuously seeks new avenues for sharing her passions and often enlists her husband and friends to join in the fun. When she’s not writing Ellie enjoys running, gardening, sewing, cooking, and exploring the outdoors with her dog."
