SADLY, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED
I want to thank you for your interest! As much as I am looking forward to our sweet event, I have made the hard decision to cancel the event. We work hard to keep our costs minimal but with the venue, cash prizes, wine and all the miscellaneous items it adds up quickly. We lost a major sponsor and unfortunately, we were unable to secure another for the event. And, to make matters worse, our ticket sales are lagging behind where they should be. As a small business, I simply can't afford to host the event without sponsorship dollars to cover the costs.
Thank you for your understanding and support. We'll do a better job for 2020 and keep you posted.

Calling all Houston Bakers!
Who wants a cookie? We do! As we head into the holiday season, we're looking for your best cookie recipes for our annual cookie contest. The contest is open to ALL bakers. You may submit one recipe for each of the categories below (that is 4 recipes total):
Traditional
Holiday
Chef's Choice
Gluten Free
Each recipe must include the following in a word document or pdf:
1. The chosen cookie category
2. A brief description of why you selected this recipe/why it is special to you

Finalist requirements:
IF YOU ARE SELECTED AS A FINALIST, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO BRING UP TO 70 SAMPLES/TASTINGS OF YOUR COOKIE TO THE EVENT ON 11/09/19. SAMPLES ARE FOR THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD.
YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO BRING AND PRESENT YOUR COOKIE TO THE FIVE JUDGES AT THE EVENT - you will have time to plate your cookie for presentation. Five plates will be provided for presentation OR you may bring your own.
By submitting a recipe, you agree to allow Edible Houston to publish the winning recipe on our website and in the magazine (we will request a bio prior to online publishing).
