Dr. Neil - A Meteorological Spin on the Classic Hurricane Cocktail

We hope you’ll enjoy our take on the classic Hurricane Rum Punch that we call “Dr. Neil.” It is named after Dr. Neil Frank, the longtime chief meteorologist at KHOU-TV and former director of the National Hurricane Center in Florida—and a legend in these parts. Cheers!

Ingredients

  • ½ ounce Smith & Cross Navy Strength rum
  • ½ ounce Cruzan light rum
  • ½ ounce Ron Botran Añejo rum
  • ½ ounce Clement Creole Shrubb (or Cointreau orange liqueur)
  • ½ ounce orange juice
  • ½ ounce pineapple juice
  • ½ ounce lime juice
  • ¼ ounce simple syrup
  • ¼ ounce Fee Brothers Falernum syrup
  • ¼ ounce Monin Tiki Syrup
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

Preparation

Prep a Collins glass or tiki mug full of ice; set aside. Fill a shaker tin full of ice. Add all ingredients to shaker, and shake vigorously to develop a froth. Strain into glass over ice. Garnish with citrus wheels, Luxardo cherry and/or pineapple slice, if available.
