Homemade Yogurt

We made yogurt at home from leftover milk before it turned sour. If the milk is sour, the yogurt will also turn out sour. This method works for milk that is still fine as well as milk that has gone sour.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 4 Serving(s)
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon “starter” or leftover yogurt

Preparation

Boil the milk and cool till lukewarm and room temperature. Mix starter and milk thoroughly in a glass bowl. Leave in a warm place to set for 5–6 hours (can be in non-heated oven). Chill and serve.
