Although summer camp among the verdant vegetable beds at Hope Farms may be over for now, during the school year there are plenty of other activities for kids and adults alike to enjoy.

After School: Junior Master Gardener

It’s a 10-week program, running every Tuesday and Thursday 4–5:30pm, starting September 10. Costs are $175 per student per session.

Saturday Farm Classes

On the first Saturday of each month, Hope Farms hosts farm classes. Scheduled for October 5 are two composting classes. Adults can learn all about composting and winter bed prep (9–10am; $30 per adult); kids age 6–12 can learn all about how to use household and yard waste to make compost materials (10:30–11am; $10 per child).

Dinner on the Farm

Want to learn more about Hope Farms from the comfort of a seat at the farm table? Keep an eye out for Chefs In The Fields dinner series, where local chefs use the farm’s produce to cook on site.
